Nutrient Management

Tractor Wheels

Nutrient Management planning matches nutrient inputs (fertilisers and organic manures) to crop demand. By applying nutrients in the best way you can: increase crop yield and quality. minimise the amount of artificial and organic fertilisers you use.

Data driven approach

While this can be a stand alone product, it can also be incorporated into the wider baselining product package. The use of this data will accurately map where the nutrient loading is going on farm and try to maximise the amount of input that is interacting with the actual crop and not washing away without doing anything.

Either way, our advisors work to accurately produce plans and maps for your farm, and help apply and evidence you field inputs.

Another way?

One of the best ways to make money on farms is not to spend it in the first place. Speak to one of our advisors about how you can reduce inputs and possibly get paid to do it. The SFI pays for cover crops, our advisors can devise a scheme where you use nitrogen fixers and other soil healthy plants to maximise the benefit out of this payment. Or are there planting schemes, approaches and buffers that could reduce field needs more whilst supporting other products such as Natural Resource Management preventing standing water and flooding.
